Entry fee: $25 per solo, duet or ensemble. Fee(s) for each event entered (solo, ensemble) should be paid to the teacher, who will submit all studio applications together with one check covering the entry fees of each student. Students may enter one solo with each instrument they study. They may also enter one duet with each instrument, plus one ensemble.

Description: For this festival, students will explore a piece of music and respond creatively to it through art making, giving them the opportunity to connect sound to visual expression. In addition to their repertoire selection, students will either create or find an already created piece of art that depicts the music they choose to play. This can be visual art (drawing, painting, sculpture, photography) using any medium; literary art (story, poem, text, prose), graphic art. A photograph of the artwork must be submitted along with

the student registration. Students must also write a brief summary (1-3 sentences) of how their

art describes their music.
